Lavazza imports coffee from around the world. The geography of supplies includes all regions of coffee tree cultivation: South America (Brazil and Colombia), Central America (Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras), Africa (Uganda), Asia (Indonesia and Vietnam), North America (USA and Mexico). A pressing operational need pushed the company to decide to launch the Tierra project - an agricultural development program in Honduras, Colombia and Peru. It is aimed at improving the quality of coffee, the working conditions of workers and the quality of the environment in these countries.
According to the results of marketing research, 80% of Italian consumer families choose Lavazza. Therefore, the company's slogan is "Italy's Favorite Coffee". Today Lavazza offers dozens of varieties of natural coffee - varying degrees of roasting, variously blended, ground and in grains.
Lavazza has four production facilities in Italy and seven branches in Europe and America (France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Austria, USA). Lavazza products are sold in 80 countries. In 2008, the company entered the Indian market through the purchase of a controlling stake in the Sterling Infotech group, which owns The Barista Coffee and the Fresh and Honest chain.
